About Riff
What is Riff?
Riff brings creator management, brand deals, campaign coordination, and payments into one workspace. Keep the conversation, agreed terms, deliverables, invoices, and payouts connected as a deal progresses.
Who is Riff for?
Riff is for talent managers and agencies managing creator relationships and brand partnerships. Agency owners, managers, and creators each have a view of the work and financial information relevant to them.
What can creators see and do?
Creators can review offers and agreements, see their assigned briefs and deadlines, submit drafts, respond to feedback, and track their earnings. Their workspace focuses on their own deals, content, and payments.
Inboxes and deals
Can I manage multiple creator inboxes in one place?
Riff’s inbox brings conversations into one workspace, with mailbox filters, search, attachments, and saved drafts. You can reply, reply all, forward, and keep relevant threads linked to a deal. We’ll confirm support for your email accounts and aliases during setup.
How does an email become a deal?
Start a deal from an inbox thread, then review and enter the brand, creators, fee, deliverables, and terms. The conversation stays linked as the deal moves through negotiation, contract review, content, and publication.
Can one deal include several creators?
Yes. Add creators from your roster, send individual offers, and track their responses. Assign each deliverable to the creator responsible for it and define each creator’s share of the payment.
Where do I keep usage rights, exclusivity, and other deal terms?
Keep fees, usage permissions, exclusivity, disclosure requirements, target dates, and additional conditions with the deal. A consolidated overview helps your team check the agreement as work progresses.
Contracts, content, and deadlines
Can Riff help me review a brand contract?
The contract-review workflow brings the document and agreed terms together and highlights differences that need attention, including usage rights, payment terms, and cancellation conditions. You can attach a contract from email, upload a file, or add a link.
How do briefs, drafts, and revisions work?
Each deliverable has its own brief, draft, and feedback. Share requirements and reference links, add draft links and captions, track versions, and send feedback to the assigned creator. Revision requests reopen the draft for further work.
Can I see deadlines across my roster?
Yes. Calendar views bring together draft deadlines, publication dates, and invoice dates. Filter by creator or milestone, open the related deal, and see which deals still need dates.
How do I track whether content has gone live?
Record the published link and publication date against the deliverable. Creator submission and staff verification have separate statuses, so your team can distinguish a reported post from one it has checked.
Invoices and creator payments
Do I have to wait for content to go live before invoicing?
Invoice timing follows the agreed billing terms. A single invoice can become available after the agreement is signed, while milestone invoices follow their scheduled conditions. Deal progress and payment progress stay separate.
Can I handle deposits, milestone payments, and retainers?
Yes. Set up a single invoice, an upfront payment followed by later milestones, or recurring retainer billing. Related invoices stay connected to the deal, with their own dates and payment statuses.
How does a brand pay an invoice?
Send the brand an invoice with a payment link and payment instructions. Available methods and fees depend on your payment setup. If a brand reports a bank transfer, the invoice remains outstanding until receipt of the funds is confirmed.
How are agency, manager, and creator shares calculated?
Set the percentages for the agency, manager, and each creator, then review the calculated amounts and confirm the split. Those shares carry into the payout workflow so your team can see what each person is owed.
When do creator payouts happen, and what can hold them up?
Automatic payouts depend on available funds, a confirmed split, and completed recipient requirements. Missing tax documents, incomplete verification, payout timing, or transfer errors can hold up a payment. The payout view shows what needs attention.
Can we pay a creator before the brand pays us?
The agency-funding workflow lets a manager request funds and an owner approve payment from the agency wallet. It uses the agency’s available funds. The brand invoice stays outstanding until the brand’s payment arrives.
Can creators check their payment status themselves?
Creators can see their own earnings and wallet activity. Managers can review funded earnings, amounts already paid, remaining balances, and payout issues for each creator, keeping payment questions tied to the relevant deal.
Does Riff help collect tax forms?
Riff includes tax-form collection and document access in the payment workflow, including W-9 and supported international form flows. Missing documentation can appear against the affected payout so your team knows what to request.
Does Riff handle 1099s?
Yes. Riff supports 1099s as part of your creator payment workflow.
Can I pay international creators?
Contact us with the countries and currencies your agency needs. We’ll confirm supported payout routes, required documentation, fees, and expected timing for your setup before you move payments to Riff.
Does Riff follow up on unpaid invoices?
Riff supports invoice reminders to help your team follow up on outstanding payments. Keep the invoice, due date, reminder history, and payment status together so the next follow-up has the right context.
What can I see in the wallet?
The wallet shows balances and a transaction history of money coming in and going out. Review deal-linked receipts, payouts, allocations, and withdrawals, and filter transactions by date, deal, or status.
Reporting and team visibility
Can I see how the agency and roster are performing?
Owner dashboards show agency-wide deal and financial activity, while manager dashboards focus on assigned creators and deals. Track signed deal value, received payments, outstanding amounts, and revenue shares over a selected period.
Can I track content performance and prepare brand updates?
The reporting workflow brings published posts and performance metrics together, with filters by platform, creator, and publication period. Managers can draft a brand update from a published post. Live metric connections need confirmation for your setup.
Can I export financial reports?
Yes. Financial analytics includes CSV export, with date and brand filters to help your team review the relevant activity. Confirm the fields your finance team needs when evaluating the workflow.
Setup, integrations, and plans
Do I have to move every workflow to Riff at once?
Start by showing us how your team manages a deal today. We’ll review which steps fit Riff, which tools you need to keep, and any migration or integration requirements before agreeing on a rollout.
Does Riff connect to our existing email, storage, and accounting tools?
We’ll confirm compatibility with the specific tools your team uses during a demo. Riff supports external asset links, but live synchronization with email providers, storage platforms, accounting systems, and social networks needs confirmation for each integration.
How is pricing structured?
Riff offers plans for different roster sizes and agency needs. See the pricing page for current subscriptions, creator limits, and invoice fees, or contact us to discuss your agency’s requirements.
What does getting started involve, and what support is included?
We’ll review your roster, team roles, current workflow, and payment requirements to identify the right setup. Support depends on your plan. Confirm onboarding help, migration scope, and support channels when choosing a plan.
Can I try the workflow before committing?
